# Gary Neville — selected sample bank

Updated 29 September 2026. The library contains ten real excerpts cut from the MP3 supplied by the user: `Y2Mate.is - Gary Neville _oooo_ compilation.mp3`. No online audio was downloaded in this update. The synthetic demo bank has been replaced.

## Cut list

Requested timestamps are approximate anchors. Exact MP3 in/out points are recorded below and in `samples/cuts.json`. Crowd noise and overlapping commentary already in the recording remain in the excerpts.

| Requested | Name | Existing cut | Pad / shortcut |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0:02 | Quick Oooh | 1.78–2.72 s | Reserve |
| 0:06 | Sharp Oooh | 5.95–7.48 s | 2 |
| 0:13 | Big Oooh | 13.26–15.36 s | Reserve |
| 0:21 | Concerned Oooh | 21.38–22.50 s | 4 |
| 0:31 | John Moss | 31.72–33.28 s | 5 |
| 0:38 | Breathless Oooh | 37.64–38.66 s | 6 |
| 0:44 | Penalty, is it? | 43.83–45.78 s | 7 |
| 0:49 | Long Oooh | 48.15–51.62 s | 8 |
| 0:53 | Low Oooh | 53.24–55.18 s | 1 |
| 0:58 | Torres Oooh | 57.85–60.18 s | 3 |

The 0:31 selection retains “John Moss”; the 0:44 selection retains “Oh, it’s a penalty, is it?”. Both phrases were also confirmed by local speech recognition on the exported WAVs. Non-verbal reaction timing was guided by the user’s anchors and waveform inspection; no claim of source separation is made.

## Treatment and mapping

48 kHz mono, 16-bit PCM WAV; DC offset removed; 8 ms fades to avoid boundary clicks. Clips are gain-matched to −20 dBFS RMS with a −2 dBFS peak ceiling. The 0:49 selection lasts 3.47 seconds to retain the long reaction. Eight pads play distinct samples at original pitch. Existing cut points are unchanged and awaiting user-led refinement; the 0:02 and 0:13 clips are held in reserve.

## Provenance

User-supplied excerpt transformation. No redistribution licence was provided or inferred. The hosted Site remains private; no sharing permissions were changed. The earlier research identified [the Rustarkkar compilation](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxO-Qhi8lW8); its title matches the supplied filename, but the file’s online origin has not been independently authenticated. Exact cut times above refer to the supplied MP3, not a guaranteed offset in any online upload.

## Editing

`app/sample-map.ts` holds names, paths and assignments. `samples/cuts.json` holds exact cut times and measured levels. Replace WAVs or change mapping paths, then rebuild. The complete uploaded MP3 is not included in the project or deployed site.
